The Global Innovation Group ("GIG") is more than another "weak-ties" Web network. It is an invitation-only group of powerful, proven professionals who seek game-changing opportunities, and who desire to focus their expertise on solving the world's most pressing challenges.
The GIG is a catalyst to improve the world through technology commercialization and venture development, and in the process, to generate wealth for those who decide to invest their time, energy and valuable market and industry insights. In addition to providing exceptional financial and career opportunities, being part of this global brain trust of exceptional people also provides participants with meaningful interactions with like-minded peers to share ideas and knowledge for mutual benefit.

These categories are very broad by design. We actively encourage cross-fertilization between Sectors, and Membership in more than one Sector when appropriate. Many Venture teams include people from more than one Sector.

Membership in the GIG is for people who have:

o Understand patent process and law
o Have built a company around IP
o Have experience in IP licensing
o Have access to companies who seek to license technological innovations
Venture
o Have senior management startup experience
o Demonstrate entrepreneurial expertise
o Have a deep understanding of the marketplace
o Have other significant experience at an entrepreneurial company
Capital Raising
o Have previous success in raising capital
o Have M&A experience
o Have a network of investors to contact on deals
Growing Company Experts
o Have built companies during nascent stages
o Have planned and led sales/marketing efforts
o Have first-hand cost-cutting operational skills
o Have clear talents in managing people within growth companies
Deep Domain Understanding
o Are thought leaders in their field
o Have demonstrated excellence
Many GIG Members have advanced degrees, have built significant companies, or are financially secure, but none of those are required for Membership, and nor are they sufficient to guarantee acceptance of an application for Membership.
